Middle School Music Elective (Semester 1)

Hello Musical families!

Last semester, I worked with several Middle School students from the Grade 6 classes for our music elective. We learned and recorded a couple of songs that the girls chose. WE worked hard on timing and being able to sing smoothly and on key. We had a talented group and were able to add layers to the song, including multiple voices and harmonies. The songs are included below. Enjoy and kol hakavod on the hard work!

Music Elective Class

In the music elective class, we have been working on our guitar playing and performing skills. The students began by learning guitar chords and creating an instructional video for their peers to view. The students have more recently been working towards a playing performance which they will play on the final day of class for their peers.

Music Elective Class

In the music elective class, we have been doing many great things! Students began by being introduced to the fundamentals of guitar playing, including proper playing technique, sound production, and chord knowledge. The students have been working on a project of playing a musical piece in front of their peers either as a group or individually. They have all been working well in class and exploring various ways to develop their own musicianship. I hope the students are having as much fun classes I am. Let’s keep up the great work!
